The money is in the second text

Most sales are lost to silence, not to a no. A followup is a short series of texts one customer walks through, and it usually starts from an app you have already connected: a card is declined, an order is left unpaid, somebody fills in a form. They come written, so setting one up is reading it rather than composing it, and every one of them stops the moment the customer answers.

How it works

A series of texts that stops the moment they reply.

Already written, and offered where you need it

Thirteen come ready to use: the declined card, the order left unpaid, the enquiry nobody answered, the missed appointment. Every message trigger under Integrations offers the one written for it. Change the wording to sound like you and switch it on.

Each text waits its turn

Two hours, two days, a month. Every message is written when the event happens and sent when it is due, so a followup runs for weeks without anyone touching it.

It stops when they answer

A reply ends the chase, and so does the thing you were chasing: the invoice is paid, the order moves on. Nobody gets nagged after they have said yes.

Held overnight

Nothing goes out between 8pm and 8am, and anyone who has opted out is checked again before each send, not just when it was queued.

FAQ

Followup questions

What can start a followup?

Three things, and no hidden fourth. An app event: the trigger you have already ticked under Integrations offers to set one up, and the two screens link to each other from then on. A list you choose, which is how database reactivation works and needs no integration at all. Or the API, for anything else.

Do I have to write them?

No. Thirteen are written already, grouped by the job they do, and each one arrives paused so you read it before a customer does. You can still write your own from scratch.

Can it text on a date rather than an event?

Yes. Put a birthday, a last visit or a service due date on a contact and KiwiTxt texts on the day, once, with wording you set.

How many messages can one have?

Up to eight, each with its own wait and wording. Most good ones are three.

What if they reply halfway through?

It stops there, and the conversation carries on in your inbox with a person answering. That is the point of it.

Do the texts cost the same?

Yes. A followup message is an ordinary text at your ordinary rate, and the ones that stop early are never sent, so never charged.
